My 5 Must-Have Autumn Lipsticks

As I mentioned in this blog post, I love to alter my fashion choices based on the weather.

Out go the bright corals and fun pinks; see you next year Vegas VoltImpassioned and Steam Heat. It's now in with the bold, daring autumnal shades of taupe, plum and berry.

All are MAC lipsticks

My choices for this season are a mixture of a couple of my old favourites, and a couple of explosive new ones I've recently added to my collection. I love choosing a bold lip to compliment and challenge my outfit, whilst the more natural shades I love tend to add depth to any clothing.

I personally find the finish with the most staying power is Matte, however I choose not to always use a Matte lipstick as it can be quite drying on my lips. Satin, Amplified and Cremesheen tend to glide on easier. Twig is one of those, in my opinion, that can look different on other people (see below). It is described as a browny-pink and therefore is perfect for the Autumn months. Modesty is one of my favourites, it is so easy to apply and wear. It is one of my go-to shades when I do not want a bold lip; it is pink with undertones of pale taupe, and tends to pop when worn against dark outfits. D for Danger is a strong, no-shine lipstick; it glides on comfortably and has amazing staying power. It is a deep red, with burgundy undertones, whereas Rebel is a deep plum with red undertones. As Rebel is a vibrant, distinct shade and compliments Autumn fashion clothing beautifully. Up the Amp gives a strong, full coverage with no compromise on the colour.
